Chicago Medical Malpractice Involving Illinois Injuries to a Child: Father Sues Over Allegedly Dangerous Treatments Given to Son with Autism
James Coman, a Chicago dad, is suing Dr. Daniel Rossignol and Dr. Anjum Usman for Illinois medical malpractice. Coman contends that the doctors, who are involved in the Defeat Autism Now! Movement, caused more harm than good to his 7-year-old son because they gave him experimental treatments that were “dangerous and unnecessary.”
According to his Chicago, Illinois medical malpractice complaint involving injuries to a minor, Rossignol prescribed treatments for his son without seeing him in person. Coman’s Chicago injury lawsuit also points to a test for diagnosing whether kids with autism are suffering from metal poisoning. He says his son underwent the first of many of these tests when he was just two.
Chelation treatments, which can cause kidney failure, are supposed to make the body release any toxic metal. Test results are compared to a reference range for people who never took the chelation drug. Even though Conan’s son did not have heavy metal poisoning, he was diagnosed as having high levels of aluminum, lead, mercury and tin.
Coman is also blaming Doctor’s Data Inc., the Illinois lab that conducts the tests that can determine whether chelation treatments are necessary, of using improper testing methods.
Unnecessary medical procedures, tests, and treatments—especially ones that come with possible medical risks—can cause serious injuries, illness, and even death. If you believe your child’s condition got worse and/or he/she experienced unnecessary pain and suffering because a doctor prescribed a treatment or test that was wrong or unnecessary, you may have sufficient grounds for filing a Cook County injuries to minor lawsuit alleging Chicago medical malpractice.
Autism Spectrum Disorder Facts:
• 1% of US kids in the 3 – 17 age range have ASD
• Early diagnosis and intervention can reduce lifelong care expenses significantly
• There are special services available to help your child learn to walk, talk, and socialize with other people
The sooner a child with autism gets the proper treatment, the greater the chances of your son or daughter overcoming certain challenges. The wrong treatment or procedures or delayed treatment can prove detrimental.

I've played it several times in team tennis and don't like it much. The extra side changes break up the rhythm of the tiebreak, and it allows for the possibility of changing ends on set point (6-3, 7-6, etc.) which I especially dislike. That can't happen in a standard tiebreak (would have to be 6-6, 9-9, etc.)
Just my opinion, though…

Before you go spending your money on tests such as these I would ask the surgeon performing the surgery if he would use the results of this testing to influence the type of implant he uses. You may find the results are not recognised in mainstream conventional medicine. (I dont know if this is or not but there are many many tests that claim to test for all sorts of allergies that are not actually proven by large controlled studies-causing people to believe that they are 'allergic' to many things that they probably arent)

No.
The reality is that the publicity about medical malpractice has been a disservice to many patients and probably been bad for health care.
According to a peer-reviewed study by (I think Harvard Medical School), fewer than 5% of victims of malpractice act on a claim. The few that do must find a doctor familiar with the area of practice in the community to review the claim and say that it has merit before they can even go forward. This is really hard, even for the best claim, and the money outlay is significant. Then they have to get through aggressive discovery by the insurance company, which can look into every aspect of the patient's life. Then they have to get past an opportunity for the Judge to throw it out. Then they have to prove to a jury of usually 12 people that they were harmed by negligence, and they must prove damages. They don't get anything for attorneys' fees unless they show the doctor was reckless or malicious. If the jury makes an award, which more than half don't, the Judge can reduce the award, but not increase it, or disregard the jury and throw it out. Then they have to survive one or two appeals.
Nobody knows how much the malpractice insurers are making, and they have a bizarre exemption from the antitrust laws that normally prohibit price fixing. Premiums have gone up, while claims and awards have gone down. "Defensive medicine" only seems to be practiced on people who can pay, so there is some doubt that liability is a cause rather than a pretext for the providers to make more money.
Contrary to suspicion you may have, I am not a malpractice lawyer. I have never handled a Plaintiff's malpractice claim, although I occasionally work for doctors. I am a lawyer by profession, but I work more as an economist. I started off believing that we have a problem with malpractice claims, delved into it, and changed my opinion 180 degrees. Problem in our society is that there is no PR campaign for people hurt by occasional careless doctors or hospitals.

I very much dislike it. It was fine the old way. There is way too much switching, and as stated, very often on a possible set point it seems. You almost spend more time switching sides than playing points.

Yes, your uncle's heir can file.
Be aware that if the heir wasn't close to the uncle while he was alive, he or she will come across as looking very greedy if the case ever gets in front of a jury.

My goodness you sound just like me.
I'm starting my masters in a couple of months. I haven't been in a relationship with someone in so long cause all I think about is work and education!
I don't want to be like this in the future.
I seriously need to put myself out there. Whatever that means.
I come to the conclusion that I will be with my ten cats….all alone. sniff*
Good luck to you! Hope you find someone special.

Going organic is best for anyone, especially those with special needs. Going GF/CF is no longer as difficult as it once was. Spelt can be used as a wonderful substitute for white flour so that the rest of the family can have "white" bread and not feel deprived. About 10 years ago, I thought that my step-daughter had all the symptoms of Asperger's Syndrome, mild symptoms. The doctors felt that I was wrong as at that time, they only looked at and recognized severe cases as being Asperger's. We did all that you mentioned, and I saw a drastic improvement in her behavior, social skills, judgement calls, report cards. Sadly, when she went back to live with her mother, the d*mn woman refused to follow the diet and lifestyle changes that I had implemented. My step-daughter is now 17, just had a baby by someone that she refuses to identify (or maybe cannot identify), lives with a 45-year old man, and has dropped out of school. She seriously regressed. I stopped the organic diet, and saw negative behaviors from the rest of the family, and now we are back on an organic diet, with myself and two of my daughters being completely vegan. We feel better, have more energy, and the girls are doing wonderfully in school. I can tell when they eat something they shouldn't now, and they can too! One more thing that you might want to consider for your child is Craniosacral Therapy. This technique has proven useful in helping the child develop. I've included the link to the site below. Good luck.

It renders the enzyme unable to bind its normal substrate by either blocking the active site itself or changing the proteins structure so the substrate cannot bind
Egg whites are essentially simple proteins with lots of side chain functional groups exposed so they can bind the lead before it enters the bloodstream It must be pumped (like charcoal is for organic toxins) so that after the lead binds to the albumin protein it can then be removed by sucking it out
Once the lead is in your bloodstream it is too late to use protein in the stomach because it has already bound to your proteins and you are going to die a terrible death. Heavy metal poisoning is a terrible way to go

the school district is obligated to provide services to any child who is at least 3 years old. these services can be provided ina community placement…..he should have been evaluated for an IEP and possibly have an additional aid or at least a behavior plan…it would be difficult for the parnet volunteers to carry out the plan–especially due to confidentaility issues–so there needs to be a staff member who is familiar with it present at all times…the aide woudl be paid for by the special education budget for the town–not the coop itself

Sounds like many of your problem have to do with lack of communication. Have you tried sign language (baby sign is good) or picture cards help communicate? I worked briefly with several autistic children and many of them used pictures to help them communicate. You could start this by taking pictures of common items around your house (favorite toys, favorite foods, family members etc) and give your child pictures. Then ask her to give you the picture of the thing she wants.
And as far as talking, realize she is just two and half. She will likely talk, eventually. Most all autistic children talk some. It is very, very rare for them not to talk at all.
Take care
